At 9,30 the teachers from all delegations arrived at Gradinita Cu Program Prelungit NR. 52, Oradea to start the works sessions
First all the teachers had a guided visit around the school, accompanied by the headmistress, Maria Nan and by a group of teachers from the school.
After the visit, the group attended to some theatre activities prepared for the meeting:
The Special Class (children with special needs) : The theatre play “ The Bear Cheated by the Fox”.
The 3rd Class B : “ The Three Little Pigs”
The 2nd Class C : “Puppets Theatre”
The 3rd Class A: “Painting Masks”
The 2nd Class A: “ Romanian Songs”
The theatre plays were performed by the students aged 3 to 6 years old and guided by their corresponding teachers.
At 12 the Comenius group had an interesting meeting with the Inspector of Education at the Inspectoratul Scolar Bihor (District School Department) where we talked about the Educative system in the different countries.
At 14,30 we went back to school where we attended a performance of different traditional dances of the countries participating in the meeting, hold by the students of the school and guided by their dancing teacher.
At 15 the teachers participating in the project met together to have the First Work Session about the project “ACTOR”. The agreements taken were these:
Main Topics:
1/ Subtitle for the project
* The Italian suggestion for a subtitle for the project was “Discoverring Our Roots”
It was at once accepted by all the participants.
This subtitle has a double interpretation:
- It is related with “roots” meaning traditions
- It is related to the “roots of the tree”, so it has an environmental connection, to link these project with the previous one about environment
The plays written by the students can refer to any of these interpretations.
2/ Topic for the Play to represent in May 2012 in Spain :
The Comenius group decided to choose a tale connected with the local identity, tradition and environment.
3/ Include a musical event?
It is decided that including a musical event: Singing, a traditional dancing or playing an instrument is possible if anyone wants.
4/ Narrator
The Spanish delegations proposed that each play had a narrator (at least, 2 or 3 possible too) and the narrators could be shared: for the Spanish play we could use a Romanian narrator etc.
So the plays could be “more international” and “more done with group collaboration.
6/ Representationof the play
For the Final Representation each country can choose between bringing its own decorations or using “virtual ones”, projecting them .
The different school could also project part of the plays and alternate the projections with alive representations.
7/ The Blog
The Blog, together with a DVD of the representation are our Final Products
The delegations agreed to do monthly contributions to the blog, following this scheme:
October and November:
1/ Logos created by some students for the project. They could be could put all together in a slide presentation.
2/ An initial questionnaire, answered by the students with 2 questions:
- What do you expect of Comenius Project?
- Why do you think it may be important for you? And for the school?
The best answers will be selected and written in the blog.
December:
Uploading materials in every subject: written material, drawings, environmental connections etc
January:
Uploading materials in every subject: written material, drawings, environmental connections etc
February:
Uploading materials in every subject: written material, drawings, environmental connections etc
It could be added comments done by the students about the progress of the plays. We could put the opinions of students different to the ones who wrote the plays:
- “I like Ann’s Smith play about winter, you really feel the cold” Tom Lopez
March:
Uploading materials in every subject: written material, drawings, environmental connections etc
It could be added funny moments about the writing of the plays: anecdotes etc.
April and May:
Plays finished and placed in the blog
May:
Second International Meeting. We share the plays at the meeting. Students can read their plays and write comments to each other’s plays in the blog.
At the Second International Meeting, if possible, the students will attend a real theatre performance, doing by actors and they will be given a questionnaire to focus in specific aspects of the plays: the music, the dialogues, the decorations etc.
June:
Valoration of the first year of the project, done by parents, students and teachers.
The coordinator country will `produce some questionnaires, equal for all the countries and each country will place its own answers and valorations in its folder of the blog.
IMPORTANT: The blog has a section for each country to place its works. We must label the work before uploading it, so it will go directly to its folder.
